Symptom:

After logging into the MDC website, clicking a search space on the left-hand side brings back no data.

Resolution

The main cause of this, should there be actual useable data available, is that the service account running the teragator service does not have sufficient SQL permissions. This can be confirmed by looking through the event viewer logs.

To resolve this, make a note of the service account (or account mentioned in the event viewer message), and open up SQL Management Studio. Under Security/Logins, add a new user for the user in question. Ensure you provide adequate permissions under the Server Roles tab.

It’s likely that the above may need to be carried out by the Clients Database team, therefore request DB_Owner permissions for all of the teragator databases.
