The Curator plugins are distributed across folders which are generally assigned to workgroups in order to manage their permissions.
The folders where the plugin structure resides will be within the Curator Server Program Files.
In most cases, this will be located here: C:\Program Files\IPV\Curator\Server\Config
Once you have navigated to the above location, you will be met with a default folder and another workgroup folder, as shown in the example below:
The default folder indicates a folder whereby default plugins can be stored.
This folder will not be called upon in any front end configuration - consider it a storage location where you can store backups and plugins.
The second folder w[]-u[]-win[]-m[] is the pattern we shall follow for allowing plugins to be distributed across workgroups.
The first set of brackets define the workgroup.
As an example, for the System Administrator workgroup, we will copy and create an additional folder like so:
Now we have a folder in which the System Administrators' plugins will be stored - the system administrator group will have access to any plugins that are stored within this folder.
NOTE: The initial w[]-u[]-win[]-m[] folder has no workgroup defined. This is because the folder is to grant access to ALL workgroups. i.e, all users/workgroups will have access to any plugins stored within that folder.
The plugins should be stored within their respective workgroup folders in a similar location of:
C:\Program Files\IPV\Curator\Server\Config\w[System Administrators]-u[]-win[]-m[]\WebApplications
You are then presented with the two websites - Clip Link and Clip Select. The plugins should reside within the website you would like them to be available in.
NOTE: The plugin config files should work in the same way across both websites.
You now have plugins stored within workgroups, and they should be available from within their respective websites.
TIP: If you are not able to see the plugins, an IIS restart and clearing of your browser cache is suggested.
When distributing plugins across folders BEWARE that you may run into duplicates if your user exists within multiple workgroups.
For example, if you have a user within Workgroup 1 and Workgroup 2 which both use the same plugins, the user will have duplicate plugins within their website ui.
