Following our initial issues (see article) with Adobe Premiere/After Effects 2021, we now have a release available for installation. 2.5.1.31 (Win) \ 2.5.18 (Mac).

This release provides the ability to use Curator for Adobe in Adobe software versions 2021 and Secure/Enhanced Proxy Access via Curator Gateway (which requires Curator Gateway 1.3.1.67 or greater).  

This version as per the previous 2.5 release requires com.IPV.Extension.config.json file version 3.2.0.4 imported via Curator System Administrator 1.6.1.84 or greater before the software can be used.  This version can also be run against Curator 3.1.2 suite of software within that system's limitations (without Secure/Enhanced Proxy Streaming) fixing the bugs and enabling use in Adobe 2021 set of software. See below for the necessary installation steps.

In an upgraded system, you must manually add Curator proxies to Allowed API Resources for Curator Adobe Clients in Curator Gateway (via Curator Gateway>Authentication>Clients), even if you do not intend to use the functionality. If you do not, you will receive an invalid scope error and will be unable to login to the IPV Extension. Setup is illustrated below.

• In Curator Suite 3.1 (update 2) you will have a single Curator Gateway Client entry for Curator for Adobe to have to add the Curator Proxies resource to be able to log in (even though the SecureProxy Streaming will not function until an update to Curator Suite 3.2.1 has been made)
• In Curator Suite 3.2 (update 1) you have to add the Curator Proxies resource to the Curator for Adobe client, You will also need to add this resource to the Web Apps (Curator Clip Link, Curator Clip Select, Curator Logger) client declaration.
• In Curator Suite 3.3 you should have separate individual Clients for each Adobe application. Therefore each of these (if present) needs to have the Curator Proxies resource added: 
  • Curator for Adobe - After Effects
  • Curator for Adobe - Illustrator
  • Curator for Adobe - Photoshop
  • Curator for Adobe - Premiere Pro

NOTE: Due to technical changes in the Extension, from version 2.3 onwards you are not able to run the software simultaneously on the same machine in multiple versions of the same Adobe product at the same time (e.g., Premiere Pro 2020 & 2019 simultaneously on the same machine). However, it can be run in different supported Adobe apps (e.g., Premiere Pro 2020 & After Effects 2020) at the same time simultaneously on the same machine.

Configuration Note: If you are attempting to use Adobe 2021 and experiencing login issues, you may need to move the Access-Control-Allow-Origin HTTP response header from the IIS Default Website to your virtual proxy directory. If the virtual proxy directory does not exist or is hosted in AWS, remove the HTTP response header and re-attempt login. 

This release of IPV Curator for Adobe is provided as a zip file containing 2x msi installers for Windows (2021 and 2020), 2x pkg for MacOS (2021 and 2020), and various epr files for use in AME. This release is compatible with:

• Adobe After Effects 2021 v18.2 (and earlier versions)
