Load Server Manager |
Within Windows, open “Server Manager”: |
Select "Add roles and features" |
From the Server Manager Dashboard, choose “2 Add roles and features”: |
Click Next |

Select installation type | The “Add Roles and Features Wizard” will open. Choose “Role-based or feature-based installation”: |
Select destination server |
Choose the local server, (unless remotely managing a server, then select the correct server from the list in the Server pool): |
Select server roles |
Select the “Web Server (IIS)” role: |
Add required features (if prompted) |
If prompted, add the required features: |
Select server roles |
Click “Next”: |
Select features | Select the .NET 3.x and 4.x Frameworks for installation and click “Next”: |
Click “Next” |

Select Role Services |
Ensure the following Role Services are selected for installation with the “Web Server (IIS)” role: |
Add features (if prompted) |
If prompted, add the required features |
Review and Click Install |
Once the features have been added and “Next” is clicked, an opportunity to review the selections made will appear. Check all features are present and correct, then click “Install”: If prompted about specifying an alternate source path, click the option at the bottom of the window and in the dialog window that appears enter "C:\Windows\WinSxS"If the alternate source path is not available, command prompt can be used instead. Open a command prompt as an administrator and enter the following: DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All |
Allow Automatic Restarts |
Answer “Yes” if prompted to allow a restart if required: |
Click "Close" |
When complete, close the Add Roles and Features Wizard: |
