Steps for Adding a Certificate
|
The steps here are a recommendation to use "Local Machine" and the Window's default store for the Certificate. Curator Server uses the "My" store by default, and therefore will look first in the Current Users store; if access to this store is changed with a different users login then the Certificate needs to be added the "Local Machine" store. A certificate is required by default for Curator Services and should be acquired and installed before continuing |
Open the Certificate Wizard |
Double click to open the certificate, there may be an information window and a button to click "Install Certificate" or the following will appear automatically, chose Local Machine and click Next: |
Enter Password when Prompted and Mark Key as Exportable |
The certificate may come with a given password, enter it here to continue and ensure to tick the "Mark this key as exportable" option: |
Let Window's Automatically Store the Cert |
Unless told specifically, chose to let Window's automatically select the Certification Store: |
Finish | When done, click Finish. |
