AME provided an invalid/empty job id after job submission

Symptom

Within Device Director, AME jobs are failing due to the following error: "AME provided an invalid/empty job id after job submission."

Resolution

There are two possible causes for this error.

  1. The service account or machine running AME is unable to access the ERP file shown in the SourcePresetPath.
  2. The version of AME is not compatible with the version of Premiere Pro in use.

To resolve the first issue, correct the permission or network issue preventing access. The second issue is resolved by upgrading AME (recommended) or downgrading Premiere Pro.
